This piece started out as a doodle, which took a deliberate direction after I perceived the shape of a heart chamber in the image. The thick, shiny “Glaze” ink and smooth, deeply pigmented pencils made this one extra satisfying. Details and colors are inspired by human anatomy drawings and common heart illnesses.
