I first learned about Doomed & Stoned through Facebook, and became more interested in their content after reading an article by Editor-in-Chief Billy Goate titled, “Mental Health is Metal Health.” The article and Doomed & Stoned became much needed points of connection for me.
At the time, I felt like a free-floating dandelion seed with nowhere to land. I thanked Billy for the authenticity in his article because it showed me that there was a community of heavy music lovers where I might feel at home. We were living in the same state back then, and I was lucky enough to spend some time bonding with Billy over busy schedules, cloudy winters and broody music. He continues to inspire me to be relentless in pursuit of my goals. I’m so glad to have found Doomed & Stoned as a source for brilliant music recommendations, and stoked to have Billy for a buddy.
